Joshua Tree & Saguaro cactus
« on: May 20, 2004, 04:43:31 pm »
Hi Adrian,

Attached are photos of:
1.  A joshua tree (Yucca brevifolia), an iconic species of the Mojave Desert.

2.  Saguaro cactus, Cereus giganteus, iconic species of the Sonoran Desert and Saguaro Nationa Park.

Would you please make symbols of these?  No particular rush - these will be used for a variety of purposes and I'll be out of town all next week.  These pictures are public domain from the NPS archive.  I can send more photos of either subject if this would be useful.

Thanks!
johng

Hi John,

I'll try and have these two done for you by next week.  Please send me as many terrestrial symbols as you need!  I'm trying to build up those categories.

Regards,

Tracey

Hi John,
I've finished the Joshua Tree and Saguaro cactus for you.  If you want to incorporate these into the rest of the IAN symbols, there is a discussion topic called "Making Symbol Palettes" that outlines the steps involved.
Cheers,
Tracey

NB: There are two files for each post, a .gif (for preview purposes only) and an .ai file. You need to download the .ai file.

Hi Tracey,

Many thanks for the symbols, which I've added to my Terrestrial Vegetation palette - they look great in the Mojave diagram!

Cheers,
