Upland trees, phragmites marsh and shoreline protection. Concrete slabs, shown on the left side of the photo, can be spaced apart to provide wildlife access to and from wetlands and uplands while still providing some degree of shoreline protection. This innovative approach is generally considered an improvement over the common rip rap shown on the right side of this photo, which is a significant and often insurmountable obstacle to wildlife.

The Easton Point area has this public county boat launch and a commercial marina with waterfront fuel sales. Stormwater river input from the parking lot is unopposed, and the fuel pumps can often be seen standing half submerged in high water events. The likelihood of diesel and gas fuel spills and stormwater runoff pollution is significant.
