Originally from Reno, NV, Morgan moved to Anchorage, AK to study at the University of Alaska (UAA), where she completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies, a Bachelor of Arts in Languages (Spanish), and a year-long internship with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. During this time, she also competed on the UAA varsity gymnastics team. Morgan moved to Maryland in August 2018 to research the nutrient dynamics and associated water quality parameters that shape phytoplankton community composition offshore of Assateague Island National Seashore.
