'Sewage Plume Mapping' technique measures the stable nitrogen isotope signature of macroalgae deployed in situ, housed in a perforated transparent container suspended from a buoy and anchored by a weight. Several hundred of these rigs are deployed in a region to map the nitrogen isotope signature.
