Scientists, the Maryland Coastal Bays Program, National Parks Service, state and local politicians, other dignitaries, and the general public gathered to hear the assessment which was based on water quality and other monitoring data and disseminated widely through various media. The Report Card was a collaboration between several entities, including the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, IAN, EcoCheck, and the Maryland Coastal Bays Program.
