The Dall sheep (Ovis dalli dalli) or thinhorn lives in mountainous regions (alpine tundra and taiga) in Alaska and western Canada.

Mount McKinley or Denali in Alaska is the highest mountain peak in North America, at a height of approximately 20,320 feet (6,194 metres). Denali means 'the great one' in the native language.
