Coral reef condition: A status report for the Northern Mariana Islands
Effective coral reef conservation cannot be accomplished without an informed and engaged public. The Northern Mariana Islands coral status report is part of a larger effort to provide the public and decision-makers with information about managing and conserving coral reef ecosystems. This status report provides a geographically specific assessment of the Northern Mariana Islands coral reef condition for the period 2012–2017. The Islands were divided into four sub-regions based on data resolution, geographical features, and impacts to the ecosystem. Overall, current status of Northern Mariana Islands coral reefs is Fair.
