This Professional Certificate program is comprised of four knowledge-rich courses including: Strategic Communication for Sustainability Leaders, Storytelling with Data Using Socio-environmental Report Cards, The Science Advisory Toolbox for Environmental Management, and Innovative Environmental Management Models:

IAN has teamed up with Belmont Forum members to design and faciltate meetings as well as produce communication tools. We are developing surveys, create meeting materials and agendas, generating templates and videos, and distributing summary documents to achieve programmatic goals and focus efforts to further the success of the Belmont Forum.

The IAN report card includes four categories of indicators: education and outreach, socio-environmental impacts, diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice, and partner engagement. For education and outreach, we assessed our media reach, our dissemination effectiveness, and our teaching and training. For socio-environmental impacts, we assessed the inclusion of core categories in our report cards, our academic publications, and the number of socio-environmental products produced.

The free downloadable symbol libraries provide users with symbols crafted by IAN science communicators for use in constructing conceptual diagrams. This project involves creating news symbols and getting them uploaded to our searchable media library.
