Ministry for the Environment and Climate Change Report Card Training Workshop

Ministry for the Environment and Climate Change Report Card Training Workshop

The primary objective of this project is a two-day training for staff of the MOECC, as well as partner Great Lakes ministries, such as Natural Resources Forestry (MNRF) and Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA). The training will focus on the development of performance measures, in accordance with the requirements under the Great Lakes Protection Act. Using the framework of the 5-step report card process (Chapter 4, Practitioner's Guide), this training will enable a shared vision for the performance measures as well as for the topics of the Progress Report. The training brings together core staff and is critical as the beginning step in the year-long process of reviewing the Strategy and producing the Progress Report. One output of the workshop will be a draft storyboard or outline of the Progress Report and steps on how to complete the Progress Report. Directly following the training, IAN staff will provide notes, results, and outputs from the training to MOECC staff via online document sharing (e.g., Google Drive).
