We held an initial workshop April 25, 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to begin production of a report card for the Guanabara Bay and its watershed. This newsletter summarizes the discussions with environmental and social scientists, engineers, and government officials who developed a first draft of the indicators and reporting regions for the assessment of Guanabara Bay and its river basins.

The Coastal Georgia Ecosystem Report Card was developed through a collaborative effort between the staff at Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Coastal Resources Division, Environmental Protection Division, Wildlife Resources Division and the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, Integration & Application Network. This report card provides a transparent, timely, and geographically detailed assessment of Coastal Georgia.

This poster illustrates some results from work on a climate change resilience index for Chesapeake Bay. One aspect analyzed in the index was coastal wetland resilience to sea level rise. Overall, coastal wetlands currently have good resilience but under future sea level rise rates coastal wetlands will have moderate to very poor resilience.

This newsletter summarizes the outcomes from the workshop to develop the Guaviare River Basin Report Card. This is one of three tributaries to the Orinoco River that report cards are being developed for in Colombia, and the third workshop for this effort. Values, threats, and indicators were the key items determined in the three day workshop that took place in San José del Guaviare, Colombia.
