Middle Potomac Listening Session

Advancing the Coastal Ocean Assessment for Sustainability and Transformation Project in the Chesapeake Bay

IAN Staff and the visiting Global Sustainability Scholars hosted a Middle Potomac Listening Session in July 2022 to begin developing the upcoming Potomac Watershed COAST Card. State and local governments, agencies, NGOs, and private citizens attended the session and worked through a series of stations to provide information on their perceived threats and values to the watershed, indicators they would like measured in a report card, their current and desired partners for work in the watershed, and their vision and desired actions for the watershed in the future. This synthesis document is a summary of the input and results from all attendees and, in collaboration with the results of future listening sessions, will shape the future Potomac Watershed COAST Card.
